Established in 2003, the Andre Gist Memorial Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization helping college-bound students meet their expenses for tuition and books.

The foundation’s mission is to provide financial assistance to college-bound students. We seek to help students from family households who face challenges due to a lack of financial means and other resources necessary to attend and remain in college.

The foundation scholarship awards up to $8,000 per student for a maximum of four years. All high school seniors who have been accepted to a Historically Black College and University are eligible to apply.

Two events – a spring black tie evening of entertainment and dining, and a summer golf tournament – are organized each year to raise funds for the scholarship. All support and contributions are greatly appreciated.
